[Murray is bothered. Of course he would never admit this, but the thing is, the real crutch of the matter is, he'd really gotten used to being a disembodied skull. Sure, it had its problems - lack of mobility being at the top of the list. But, really, a skull was scarier than some typical seen-it-already skeleton. And, for a skull, he's accomplished a lot.

And yet. And yet, he experienced a body again. The power of robotics, while far beyond his understanding had been at his bony fingertips, figuratively speaking of course. And it had been marvelous!

Sure it could be fun to ride in someone's pockets. And there were certainly some far cleaner pockets in Luceti, but to move again! To stalk across the land spreading mayhem and terror.]

I'm sure some of you feeble mortals have wishes you want granted. How do you go about doing such things?

[Later after some thought, he remembers a certain round doctor who he once spoke to and later him bragging about robotics or some such.]

[Filtered to Eggman 1% (It was only sheer luck he managed even that one percent.)]

[Murray waits. He knows the need for a good long laugh and is grateful for not needing to breathe after hearing Eggman's coughing fit. How he laughs at all is a mystery best left unasked.]

Nothing had better go wrong. If I get blown up on more time, the depths of hell themselves will shake at my fury!

Don't worry, none of my creations have ever blown up. On their own. Often.

In any case, I think it would be best to test the limits of your awesome power before I actually design you a body. I wouldn't want to waste my time, after all.

We can soon find that out! [The sounds of metallic objects being shoved aside can be heard as Eggman disappears off camera for a moment.] Ho ho, yes! I have just the contraption to test your powers!

[He'll just be doing a bit of monologuing in the meantime]

Soon a body will be mine again! I will roam across Luceti and all will learn to fear me. Terror will spread! Unexplained acts of horror will plague the people! Shoes will go missing! A good night's sleep will be unknown! Things will fall out of cupboards! Never shall they know peace! BWA HA HA!

Ho ho, yes. Indeed. Splendid! But don't get too ahead of yourself yet. [He continues fiddling with his machine.] When can you make it to my lab for testing?

[Eggman sighs.] Of all the lazy- Bah, where are you?

[An indeterminate amount of time later, Eggman turns up looking for Murray, searching around the area where he said he'd be. It's not a long walk, but Eggman had got caught up building his machine, taking a snack break and perhaps reading a few novels.

He can't spot the skull, though.]

Murray! Murray, where on Earth are you? Gah, I feel like an idiot yelling like this. Murray!

[It's take a moment to hear his name being yelled, as he's busy muttering to himself and is generally absorbed in his own business - propped up against the battle dome wall.]

But at eventually hearing his name yelled, he'll take advantage of the situation.]

Who dares disturb Murray, the mighty and terrifying demonic skull!

[Eggman smirks. He knows where Murray is now but he'll pretend otherwise.]

Ho ho ho! 'Tis none other than I, the great and magnificent Doctor Robotnik! Show yourself, or fear my wrath!

Great and magnificent! HA! Nothing compared to my power! Come to me or face my wrath!

Your pathetic power pales in comparison to my glorious genius! You should be fearing my wrath!

[Actually facing Murray and pointing at him now.] No, you!

[Splutter...attempted splutter] YOU!

You times infinity, no comebacks. [Satisfied, Eggman strolls up to Murray.]

But maybe you should save the gloating for after my new voodoo-hoodoo machine drains, er, tests your dark powers.
