[Video/Voice] Wishes and Bodies

[Murray is bothered. Of course he would never admit this, but the thing is, the real crutch of the matter is, he'd really gotten used to being a disembodied skull. Sure, it had its problems - lack of mobility being at the top of the list. But, really, a skull was scarier than some typical seen-it-already skeleton. And, for a skull, he's accomplished a lot.

And yet. And yet, he experienced a body again. The power of robotics, while far beyond his understanding had been at his bony fingertips, figuratively speaking of course. And it had been marvelous!

Sure it could be fun to ride in someone's pockets. And there were certainly some far cleaner pockets in Luceti, but to move again! To stalk across the land spreading mayhem and terror.]

I'm sure some of you feeble mortals have wishes you want granted. How do you go about doing such things?

[Later after some thought, he remembers a certain round doctor who he once spoke to and later him bragging about robotics or some such.]

[Filtered to Eggman 1% (It was only sheer luck he managed even that one percent.)]

Eggman! I want to talk to you!

Soon, Luceti will know true fear. The forces of evil shall applaud as I stride, truly stride! Across the land spreading terror, mayhem! The tales will spread from generation to generation of the horror that is Murray!

[He'll just be monologuing his way up the those many flights of stairs.]

Ho ho ho! Yes! The robot I build using your unlimited energy will strike terror into some hearts, alright! I can hardly wait to test your mettle with my new voodoo-o-meter!

[Another flight of stairs. Eggman is in such danger of getting fit living up here.]

Going to be off the charts, are you? [I have no idea why Eggman even believes this.]

[No! That can't happen to him!]

Bwa ha ha! You'd better be prepared for a shock! [Just...not the kind Murray wants.]

[It's okay, he's been eating extra cake to make up for it.]

Oh ho ho! So should you. [Seriously. This will hurt.]

I'm prepared for the worst. I am the worst!

[A time skip is in order. Seriously. Eggman reaches his floor, and by this point he's quite tired. Not to mention sweaty. Murray is lucky that Eggman is wearing gloves, or he'd be all covered in Eggman sweat. Still, Eggman casually uses his Murray holding hand to wipe his brow as he approaches his apartment door.]

At last... [Huff.] Here we are at Eggmanland.

[Disgusting! Murray snaps a bit at the close encounter with Eggman's head.]

'Eggmanland'? That's your evil lair name?

[Eggman glares at the skull as he opens his door. Do not mock the glory of Eggmanland.]

Eggmanland is the name of my glorious empire back on Earth. Think of this as but an embassy dedicated to its magnificence.

[But Murray is right. Eggman hasn't named his lair yet...]

It's not very terrifying.

Isn't it? [Eggman grins at Murray evilly.] When people hear the name Doctor Eggman, it sends a shiver down their spine. When they see my face broadcast on television, they dare not even look at the screen! The threat of the Eggman Empire has sent countless souls fleeing for their lives, attracted the attention of every military force in the world... [He places Murray on a small table in his workshop, the main room of the apartment. He continues his speech with bombastic arm gestures.] Not to mention all of the world's greatest heroes, all gathering to stop Eggmanland from ever becoming a world power.

Ohhh ho ho ho ho ho! Now tell me it isn't terrifying.

Bwa ha ha! That sounds magnificent. But how does it hold up here?

I can scare anyone with a mere look! The sight of my terrible visage is enough to send chills down anyone's spine. My terror comes with me wherever I go!

[Not very well, Murray. Not very well. Eggman frowns in frustration at that.

He'll just. Pick you right back up again like it's nothing.]

Maybe you're just not as charismatic as I am. Maybe if you were, everybody wouldn't find you so repulsive even here.

[And assuming you haven't bit Eggman's hand off, leading you over to a table with a complex looking doodad assembled on it. The machine has coiled wires coming from all kinds of places, as well as your usual evil science components - glass containers attached to tubes, tesla coils and electrodes...]

[He might snap just a little, but Eggman is the leg provider, so he can keep his hands. This time.]

Repulsion, terror. What difference does it make to their shrieks!

[Looks satisfyingly evil enough, but what does Murray know of science.]

[Eggman's gloves are thick enough that he doesn't notice this time...

He plops the skull down on a little plate and will start attaching electrodes to his, er, skull, if there's no effort to stop him.]

To be truly feared is to command respect from those who fear you. That's where real power lies. A frightening visage won't get you that. You need charisma and charm, like me!

Ha! I have my own charm. You wouldn't believe how the wenches fall over themselves around me.

Hey, those are cold!

[Eggman wouldn't be surprised if they actually fell over Murray himself.]

Oh, stop being such a baby. [And when he's done, Eggman poises his index finger above a Big Red Button.] Alright, time to start concentrating on this evil thoughts! Get ready to unleash your crazy powers!

My thoughts are always concentrated on my powers of evil! [But he takes on a fierce look of concentration anyway.]

Ho ho! Yes! Just like that. Very fearsome. Alright, here it comes! [And he goes in with a fully blown fist to that evil button.] GO!

[And, almost immediately the machine starts. And I'm totally leaving you to decide how horrible that feels.]

Aaaah! I can feel. agh...The powers of my- Argh! Demonic-ARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!

[Horrible? Yes. Yes indeed.]

Ohhh ho ho ho! Yes! It's working! Just as I predicted! I knew it didn't need a test drive before I put it to work!

[Eggman's just grinning and congratulating himself a little more while Murray is being zapped with all manner of energies and electricity.]

[Murray's screams dies away as he starts vibrating and his teeth clack together at high speed. But not much else, but a very jittery skull.]

[After watching Murray and laughing for a few moments, Eggman presses the button again and the machine slowly stops zapping Murray with energy.]

I think that should be enough to get an accurate reading. Now let me see.

[He turns his attention to a meter on the wall, which ranges from Wet Lettuce to Death Egg. The needle slooooowly crawls its way up the display and eventually settles on Limping Flicky. Eggman just glares at it for a moment.]

[He'll sit reeling for a moment with a muttered] oh my aching skull.

[Before getting demanding.]
