A Long Awaited Reunion [Action/Voice/Video]

[Murray has found himself back in the Item Shop, where to his delight he's come across a familiar though old skeletal arm, still covered in a layer of now dried paste. Anyone nearby or over the journal may see a skull sitting beside the arm exclaiming loudly.]

My arm! At last! Enemies beware, for Murray, the mighty demonic skull is no longer one mere skull, but has limbs again! ...one limb! Again! The powers of torment are once more within my grasp! BWAHAHAHA!!!

[Muttered] Still a bit pasty. Ergh.

[What makes it all the more funny is just how hard the skull is trying to be terrifying. She won't be able to take much more of it before she gives in to her laughter at this rate.]

[Rei just starts giggling for a long moment, until finally she manages to gasp out a question]

[Sabriel nods and turns to Rei, fighting to keep a smile from curling her lips.]

We'd best leg it over there to see what we can do to help.

[And off they head towards the item shop. It doesn't take them long to reach it, or find the clattering skull.]

Murray-san, is that you?

Who else would it be? How many talking, now armed skulls do you know?

[Now this is quite curious, Sabriel feels the presence of the skull as they enter the shop like a pocket of coolness against her cheek. Not quite like the Dead she's familiar with, and not anywhere near the Free magic creatures she knows.]

Ah, so you are Murray.

[Rei reaches down and casually stamps an ofuda on Murray's head, the paper seal not working.]

See, he's pretty harmless. You know how these work.

[Sabriel nods in reply to Rei as she takes a step closer to the skull, holding her hand up curiously to try and get a better feel for the magic around him.]

You're certainly different from the Dead from my world...how is it that you can exist like this?

You know...I've never asked that myself. Murray-san, how is it you can talk?

I'm one of the walki-er, sitting dead! What else do you expect?

Were you brought back with necromancy? Or did your spirit remain in life and inhabiting that skull when your body had passed on?

Wasn't it Voodoo, Murray-san?

[She vaguely remembers him mentioning it a long time ago.]

[Sabriel lifts an eyebrow as she glances between the skull and her friend, drawing her hand back from the skull.]

What is voodoo?

[faithfulflame]

A sort of folk-religion from Earth. It supposedly has a lot of mystic powers, sort of like mine. But its a bit more tied to...well...the darker side of nature than anything else.

[Rei shrugs and tosses the skull, catching him deftly]

But he's just some voodoo skeleton who used to be a pirate.
