[If only he could pick up his arm! Wave a fist! Do. Something. He does glower ferociously.]

That's what you might think! But now I'm armed!

[Sabriel blinks, glancing up at her friend as she settles beside her. As soon as she catches that teasing gleam in the young woman's eyes she relaxes. Ever since the Apep incident she had been a little jumpy regarding things like this but...come to think of it, hadn't Luke mentioned a talking skull to her when she first arrived?

At the skull's indignant response she can't help but smile a little, sharing another glance with Rei.]

Ah, is that so? I have to hand it to you Rei, without your intervention I would not have found him so disarming.

[Rei puts her hand around Sabriel's shoulder and laughs, both at the horrible awful and utterly appropriate puns, and at Murray's own protests!]

Yes. Why, I seem to recall Murray-san getting into a fight with a spider recently. It was was quite a sight. He was a one-skull arm-y. Until, of course, I had to rescue him before it got into his eye-socket.

[Growl.]

I would have taken that spider into hand if you hadn't come when you did.

[Snickering along with Rei it's hard to really stay serious, especially when they both seemed to be playing along with the joke trend that the skull had started.]

I don't see what's wrong with Rei keeping an eye out for you. It's rather kind of her, wouldn't you say?

From:

I think so, Sabriel-chan. I've tried to give you a...leg up...in Luceti, Murray-san.

[She's barely holding back a burst of laughter]

From:

Ha, you might be amused now! But just wait until I single handedly send Luceti into throes of terror!

From:

So long as you are prepared for the subsequent finger pointing from the rest of the village then by all means.

[What makes it all the more funny is just how hard the skull is trying to be terrifying. She won't be able to take much more of it before she gives in to her laughter at this rate.]

It'd be more intimidating if you actually had some muscle to back it up.

[*snerk*]

From:

I don't need muscle. I hold the powers of evil in the palm of my hand!

From:

I think you should come to grips with the situation, Murray, there's not much you can do at the moment to get us to take up our arms.

From:

Exactly, Murray-san. I've got to hand it to you, Sabriel-chan. You certainly have a hand-le on the truth.

After all, why should we be afraid of a skull that can't even give our puns a thumbs down?

From:

[He stares at his arm.] ...I could! As soon as I figure out to pick it up. [He just wobbles at bit at his arm.]

From:

I'm sure you know best how to hand-le it.

From:

[Rei just starts giggling for a long moment, until finally she manages to gasp out a question]

Murray-san, would you like a hand? I...can help you.

[Sabriel nods and turns to Rei, fighting to keep a smile from curling her lips.]

We'd best leg it over there to see what we can do to help.

Absolutely.

[And off they head towards the item shop. It doesn't take them long to reach it, or find the clattering skull.]

Murray-san, is that you?

Who else would it be? How many talking, now armed skulls do you know?

From:

[Now this is quite curious, Sabriel feels the presence of the skull as they enter the shop like a pocket of coolness against her cheek. Not quite like the Dead she's familiar with, and not anywhere near the Free magic creatures she knows.]

Ah, so you are Murray.

From:

[Rei reaches down and casually stamps an ofuda on Murray's head, the paper seal not working.]

See, he's pretty harmless. You know how these work.

From:

Hey I'm not harmless! [Just harm impaired.]

[He looks at Sabriel.] Don't listen to her!
