[Murray has found himself outside a lot lately, in the cold and the snow, but now it's time to take advantage of it. He is currently sitting on top of the fountain, soaked and icy. He has some little icicles forming in his eye sockets and at the back of his skull. Despite his icy situation, he seems diabolically cheery, calling out to random people passing by.]

Beware my frozen sockets of doom! This land will be smothered in the winters of death! Beware! Turn back! Turn back! Before the frozen depths of hell envelop you! [And other such threatening comments.]

[ His skepticism is partially true, but also because he wants to try and bait Murray into telling him. Luck would probably love whatever morbid tale a talking skull would come up with. ]

It was a grim night. There was no moon or stars and everywhere was pitch black. One man was on the street after a night at the tavern getting drunk off grog. He stumbled around in the dark, trying to get home, until he saw that there was some light - two pin pricks glowing in the dark, red as blood, glowing like flames.

Before he could decided what to do, it came.

That's how they all start. What'd it do?

It crept from the darkness and he saw it in all its gore ridden glory. Blood oozed from every pore. Tentacles sprouted from its lined with teeth like spikes. But its eyes were the worst. The man found himself drawn into the creature's gaze and saw every terror that could be imagined! All happening to him! It drove him mad in an instant.

Both he and the creature vanished. Until, at a later date, when the townspeople thought they were safe, the creature appeared again. Another man was outside when he heard a voice calling him, the voice of the missing man. He knew that man and followed the voice.

[He pauses again. Ominously.]

Because he recognised it. Nobody knew that the man had died, only that he was missing. They had known each other!
Now are you going to let me continue or ask more stupid questions?

[ He folds his arms, grumbling to himself. ]

When the man got close the creature appeared! There was no sign of the other man, but when he looked into the creature's eyes he saw him screaming in terror, wailing his agony!

The first man's soul had been consumed by the creature to be trapped in eternal torment!

The man tried to tear his gaze from the creature but was trapped. The creature bore down on him and...

Well, imagine the very worst thing you can! The very worst! Multiply it by ten! And that doesn't even come close to what happened!

Nobody ever saw that man again. He became yet another soul trapped with the creature, the horrible creature that hell itself spat out! It wanders the land and no one knows where or when it will appear again.
